The X-Cup division is made up of students in high school, technical colleges and universities around the country. Building a car that can withstand the abuse of the Great Race is a challenge, but it’s an excellent way to work together and learn valuable skills along the way. We love this documentary that Molly Knybel put together to show the full Great Race experience, from preparing the car to actually getting out there on the 2,300 mile course from Warwick, Rhode Island to Fargo, North Dakota. Not only did they successfully complete the journey in their 1961 Dodge Lancer they won the X-Cup division, narrowly defeating the Galaxy, Virginia team. Watch the video here!
