As racers and staff continue to pour into San Rafael, California, we’re gearing up for an exciting Great Race. The city of San Rafael has really gotten behind our event, and we had an awesome day of preparation that was capped off with a fun evening downtown. The Rafael Theater offered a special showing of “The Great Race”, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the classic movie, which based on a comedic look at the original Great Automobile Race. As a part of the festivities, the Rafael Theater rolled out the red carpet for the Great Racers, while Ted Stahl pulled out all the stops to bring the Leslie Special and the Hannibal 8 all the way from his collection in Michigan to the streets of downtown San Rafael. We want to give a special thanks to the Stahl family for their involvement and enthusiasm, and also a big thank you to Mayor Gary Phillips and the town of San Rafael for welcoming our massive group of racers, support crews and staff.
I spy Magic Dave!
