The first lunch stop on the 2016 Great Race from California to Illinois will be in Vacaville, California on Saturday, June 18. Vacaville is half way between San Francisco and the capital of Sacramento, and is a charming downtown nestled just to the east of where the Wine Country ends and the Delta begins. That Saturday is downtown Vacaville will be huge with the Farmer’s Market and the Great Race coming together at noon.

The racers will enter town under the famous Vacaville arch and park in the town square for lunch after their first rally competition of the event on the way from the start in San Rafael. There will be a band playing as well. After lunch, the racers will head out for a nice afternoon of competition before finishing the day in Old Sacramento,
