Great Race rally master John Classen has made his first of three trips along the 2015 route from Kirkwood, Missouri, to Santa Monica, California, and his driver, longtime scoring team member Fred Sprague, took some photos along the way that we thought we would share. One is from a restored 1940s era gas station near McLean, Texas. Another is from the Petrified Forest (where participants next year will get to stretch their legs for a while). The third is of dollar bills decorating the restaurant at the Oatman Hotel in Oatman, Arizona. The pit stop in Oatman will be best remembered for the wild burros that roam the streets. The 2015 Hemmings Motor News Great Race presented by Hagerty will be a memorable event–we can’t wait until June!!!
