Doug and Dana Sharp of Fairport, New York, won the 13th annual Pumpkin Run in Millsboro, Delaware, this weekend in a 1916 Hudson. They were followed closely by John and Scott Hudson who are also from New York in their 1940 Chevrolet. Third place went to Ed and Steven Tourje of Uniondale, Pennsylvania, in their 1939 Ford.
Coming in first in the Seat Of Pants division for those using stock speedometers were Great Race director Jeff Stumb and Brad Phillips of Hagerty in Brad’s new 1970 Jaguar. They were also fifth overall. In the Rookie division, Hal Everett and Ben Guiliano from Honest Charley Garage took home first place in a 1966 Mustang.
The rally has helped raise more than $100,000 since it was started for the Millsboro Volunteer Fire Department.
Had a great weekend with my wife, She does a great job driving the 1916 Hudson. Look forward to the spring and racing this summer from Maine to Florida. Not to mention the stop in Millsboro, DE. We love em in Millsboro.
Howcum the Hudson boys aren’t driving the Hudson?
Would have been a better story had the Hudson boys been driving the Hudson.
