McCollister’s Auto Transport has been named the Official Transporter of the Great Race, director Jeff Stumb has announced. McCollister’s has 35 years of experience in the enclosed auto transport business, and they are recognized for their outstanding customer service and support, as well as a team of experienced, well-trained drivers.
“We are excited to welcome McCollister’s to the Great Race family,” Director Jeff Stumb said. “Many people in the hobby know McCollister’s Auto Transport from the auction circuit due to its partnership with Mecum, and we intend to introduce this company to a whole new world on the Great Race.”
McCollister’s has thousands of clients across the country, and the team of drivers is responsible for moving a wide range of collector vehicles, from street rod and customs to restored classics and muscle cars. With customized air ride trailers with custom-designed lift gates, the equipment is top notch. McCollister’s experienced drivers are trained to provide the utmost protection for your vehicle, while making sure that it arrives to the destination on time.
Dan McCollister, President of McCollister’s said, “We are very excited to be a part of such a prestigious event. We look forward to working with the Great Race staff and participants to ensure a successful race for all involved.” He continued, “I’m confident our many years of experience in handling high-value, classic cars and serving the collector and race enthusiasts will provide excellent results for all involved.”
McCollister’s will be working with the Great Race staff to get vehicles to Warwick, Rhode Island in advance of the start of the 2022 Great Race. Regarding the delivery and pickup of Great Race vehicles, Stumb said, “I will personally take delivery of every vehicle shipped by McCollister’s and we will keep the cars in a secured location until the owner arrives. And the same holds true for the finish in Fargo, North Dakota, where we will take possession of the vehicle after the end of the event and get it loaded for the trip home.” The partnership between the Great Race and McCollister’s Auto Transport provides a convenient solution to the logistical issues presented with an event with so much distance between the starting line and finish line. A large percentage of the 120 participating teams will use McCollister’s for their transporting needs.
