Great Racer Brad Phillips from Hagerty stopped by Great Race headquarters at Coker Tire last week in a 1959 Chrsyler 300C. He was driving it from the Atlanta area to Michigan to get it ready for the Colorado Grand in September. The car belongs to Great Racer Chad Caldwell of Newnan, Georgia.
The 300C made it all the way to Grand Rapids, Michigan, without a hitch, but a clogged fuel line forced it to be towed the last 150 miles into Traverse City where it will undergo some fine tuning before heading out to Colorado in a few weeks. Brad said the car was a dream to drive and that its sweet spot was at 70 mph on the interstate.
Hey Chad, I know Brad and he has never driven 70mph or under in his life! You better check the glove box for tickets.
