This has been another excellent day, starting early this morning in Sudbury, travelling south to Parry Sound. Our noon stop at the Bobby Orr Hall of Fame included an interesting array of local cars and an enthusiastic crowd. Racers were treated to a tasty lunch prior to heading to Barrie. With threatening skies, it appeared as if the evening show would be a repeat of last evening; it wasn’t to be! With the Mayor present along with representatives of both the provincial and federal governments the rains held off. In a beautiful setting on the shores of Lake Simcoe, the teams arrived to an enthusiastic turnout. Well done Barrie!
Tomorrow, on to Barry’s Bay…after crossing through Algonquin Park, then on to my hometown, Kanata/Ottawa, Ontario. How cool it will be to do a Great Race evening right in my own back yard!
Saw you all traveling down Storyland Road and down hwy 17 towards Arnprior. At first I thought some of you were going to a car show but then noticed the stickers and numbers on the sides of the cars. Beautiful and zany looking cars. It was exciting to see. Don’t envy the drivers that are exposed to the elements though, But what fun you all must be having. Welcome to Ontario Canada and enjoy!
