Walcott, Iowa, will host the last lunch stop on the 2016 Great Race on Sunday, June 26, at the Iowa 80 Trucking Museum. Friends of the Great Race for almost 20 decades, Iowa 80 the worlds largest truck stop and CAT Scale will host the racers at the Trucking Museum at Exit 284 on Interstate 80 starting at 11:30 a.m. Racers will have lunch and tour the museum while the scores are tabulated to determine the $50,000 first prize winner as well as more than $100,000 other cash prizes that will be awarded as teams cross the finish line in Moline, Illinois a few hours later.
CAT Scales and Iowa 80s own Dave Meier will be driving the museums 1938 Kenworth in the Great Race. The Great Race has stopped at the Trucking Museum several times over the years, but this will be the first time since it has undergone a renovation and doubled in size.
