The Unser Racing Museum has been added to the 2015 Great Race as a lunch stop in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Susan Unser and the Great Race have announced. All 120 cars entered in the Great Race from Kirkwood, Missouri to Santa Monica, California along Route 66 will be at the museum for lunch beginning at 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24. Cars will arrive every minute for two hours and each car will remain for an hour giving the participants time to have lunch and to enjoy the museum. The last car will leave the museum around 2:30 p.m.
Fixtures in the Albuquerque area, the Unser family are known worldwide for their racing exploits from Pikes Peak to Indianapolis, including Jerry, Al, Bobby, Al Jr. and Robby. Al and Bobby have combined for an incredible seven wins in the Indy 500, and the museum highlights that and much more about the family and their racing legacy.
