Great Racer Jody Knowles and his wife, Kali, had their first child Jarrett Edward Knowles on Wednesday, Sept. 10. The baby was born at 3:05 p.m. He weighs 8.7 pounds and is 21 inches long. Jody and navigator Beth Gentry finished third overall in the 2014 Great Race in their 1932 Ford Cabriolet. Kali has been a member of the Great Race souvenir staff for the last three years. Young Jarrett Edward Knowles is a fourth generation Great Race family member, which started with the late Joe Knowles back in the 1990s. Jody and Beth are entered into next week’s Coker Tire Challenge regional event in Chattanooga, Tennessee next week, an event they have won several times over the last few years.
