Registration is now open for the 2015 Hemmings Motor News Great Race presented by Hagerty as excitement continues to build for the epic Route 66 themed event. During the month of July, 51 requests were submitted from potential rookies, and they were all sent registration forms and a flyer Monday. There has been more demand for information for the 2015 than any Great Race in history.

The route is a big reason. Route 66 holds a special place in the hearts of most Americans. It is an iconic part of the history of the automobile and this country, and everyone wants to be a part of it. And Europeans are intrigued by Route 66 as well.

The race will start in the St. Louis area on Saturday, June 20, and finish in Southern California on Sunday, June 28. The rally will take place on parts of Route 66 in all eight states, including Illinois on the Trophy Run on Friday, June 19. After the start June 20 the race will head west through Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California. And we will visit many of the historic sites that Route 66 is famous for.

The entry form for the 2015 event has been formatted so that participants can type their information right onto the form, instead of hand-writing all of the details. From there all that has to be done is to print it out, sign it and send it back to us by email, fax or mail. As you know, the Private entry fee was kept at the same price as last year at $5,000. The Corporate/Business entry fee is $7,000. There is a $500 discount available on any of the entry fees if a $2,000 deposit is paid by Sept. 30 and the balance is sent in by Dec. 31.

The order of registration and technical inspection on Thursday, June 18, in St. Louis is determined by the order of entry. The order of start on June 20 is also calculated by the order of entry, so don’t delay getting your deposit in.
