The rolling circus keeps moving south, on our way to a final destination of Mobile, Alabama! Today’s route involved a quick jaunt to Peoria, Illinois, and then a drive through the countryside to the town of Hannibal, Missouri. Between Davenport and Hannibal, racers faced many obstacles with flooded roads so our Rally Staff made some changes and gave the racers a clear path to start rallying. It was another tough day on the route, with LOTS of speed changes, as well as local traffic through several small towns, such as Tennessee, Plymouth, Canton and many more in Illinois. Oh, and we forgot to mention that it poured down rain during the morning speedometer calibration run. And though we saw plenty of storm clouds during our route, the rain held off for most of the day, resulting in a hot and humid stop in Hannibal, where we were greeted with a huge turnout! Check out our favorite pictures from the day!
Take good care of those California boys… San Diego want them back in one piece 😉 I sure wish I could be there! What a spectacle!
Thanks for coming through Peoria today, it was a magnificent sight to see all the race teams and their vehicles. What a treat, and a great way to start the week off. Safe travels, and keep up the great work. You guys do the hobby a tremendous service by stopping and letting the public see, hear and smell these vintage steeds do what they were meant to do…drive!
Cheers!
