Howard Sharp is no stranger to old cars. He is a fixture in the hobby dealing in Brass and Nickel cars and parts. In fact, he is at Chickasha in Oklahoma as I write this at the Pre War Swap Meet there. He is best known in Great Race circles for competing in a 1911 Velie Raceabout, and he piloted that car to victory in 2011, making it the oldest car to ever win the event.
Howards latest project is a 1917 Overland that will make a good Great Race car. He has finished the chassis and is now working on the body. Howard mentioned he would like to sell the car. He is asking $12,000 and he can be reached at 585-738-1415.
