There were no surprises today, just great competition as we worked our way from Buffalo, through Pennsylvania to finishin Warren, Ohio. Stage 7 is in the books! We had our Lunch Stop in Franklin, Pennsylvania…a great welcome at a beautiful park setting right off Main Street. From there it was a short drive for me to The National Packard Museum in Warren, Ohio. The competitors raved about the arrival, the crowd, the meal. It should be noted that when I turned on the microphone the temperature was dropping to a coolish 98 degrees… sizzling!
There was more than 1 Great Racer with a tear as we welcomed the Hedkes to the finish tonight in their “vintage” 2012 Hyundai Sante Fe! Stopping them at the Finish, Corky and Jeff were delighted to present them with their Expert/Overall Winner Plaque for Stage 6… as I said yesterday , we are family!
The competition is tight. Tomorrow is Stage 8. The tension mounts!
Stay tuned!
My son and I attended the arrival this afternoon and we were absolutely blown away by all the varieties of cars and trucks that participated! We hope you enjoyed your visit to Warren and we will always have you back! Praying for a safe journey for all participants tomorrow and Sunday! (Hope to) see you all next year!
