We always like to pass along good deals on old cars, especially ones that have completed the Great Race because that proves great reliability. Great Racer, Jim Caudle was just in town for the Coker Tire Challenge and let us know about his 1950 Ford, which is currently for sale. Here is some information that he gave us…if you’re interested, his contact information is below.
1950 Ford Custom Fordor named “Ethel” finished the 2015 Great Race (Route 66) and the 2016 Great Race (Lincoln Highway). The original Flathead V-8 has been rebuilt and runs strong. It has been converted to 12 volt. She has had a frame on restoration with LeBaron Bonney original match interior. It features dual exhaust and Coker BF Goodrich Wide White Radials. It has just over 5000 miles on the rebuild. It would make someone a very good Great Race Car for 2020! Contact Jim Caudle at 309-224-2420 or [email protected]. Asking $15,000.
If your 1950 Ford is still available I have a couple of question: 1) how permanent are the signs on the car? 2) I can’t do $15,000 for the car, is the price negotiable?
James, All the decals are off the car. I can send more current photos. And all things are negotiable. Many extra parts and rally material could be included or if not interested in rallying, they can be left out.
Please let me know if you are still interested in the car. Thanks.
